I, for one, welcome our insect overlords…

So have you heard about how people are freaking out about bees disappearing?  Nobody knows for sure and some weird theories are floating about.  I don’t know what’s happening but fortunately I know somebody from the future who can give us the answer from his vantage point…

  1. Vultures are disappearing from India and the Parsis are worried about their afterlife because if they are not eaten by the vultures after they die, they ain’t making it into Heaven.

  3. it’s the problem of being at the top of the food chain – vultures feasting on cows are being poisoned by accumulated veterinary drugs. Parsis should also be worried about the health issues caused by growing rat and dog populations.

  4. Hmmm… I’m about to aquire an uncle (by marriage, not off ebay or anything.) who keeps honeybees, I hope his hives are alright. (I had to fight the temptation to refer to groups bees as a “flock” or “herd”.)

I wonder if they’ll look kindly on his careing for them, or whether he’ll be punished for profiting from them?

Still, an overlord race who can only sting once doesn’t seem too bad.

  5. vetti: if the bees have their way, we won’t be at the top of the food chain for long!

Massif: They might only sting once but there’s millions of the bastards.
