Remember how the Watergate scandal was broken by two journalists by the Washington Post? The one who was ultimately seen as the “real” journalist, the crusader fighting the good fight was Bob Woodward. He wrote a few books over the year and generally maintained his reputation. Then he wrote two toadying books saying what a hero George W Bush was and how great his administration was.
Apparently, his integrity wasn’t that important to him. He just bent over and said “Give it to me hard, Georgie-boy!” Well, it seems that W isn’t too generous on the reach around because now Woodward is all pissed off at him and his new book “State of Denial” is considerably less generous than the previous two.
