I had a fairly stressful week at work. It got to the point where I was blowing little things out of proportion (hard to believe I know). One thing that started to really piss me off was the fact that a hairdresser had fucked up my haircut. I had this weird uneven sticky-up bit that nobody commented on but I thought was really obvious.
In the end, I decided to do something about it. Some people would have gone back to the hairdresser and asked them to fix it. Not me. I decided to fix it myself. This experience has provided three lessons for me:
- Don’t let work get to you too much
- Pay more than $5 for a haircut
- Don’t cut your own hair
Judge for yourself:
Things are looking bad!
I have cut my hair before, and it turned out well. But when I got my hair cut in Bangkok a few weeks ago, for about 10USD, I was amazed at how good they can cut your hair.
I always used to think paying a lot for a haircut was a waste of money. Now I’m not so sure.
Honestly, I just looked at some pictures my wife took of me when they finished my haircut, and it was great. The guy must have spent an hour sculpting my hair, with different scissors and all that shit.
You just have to find a good hairdresser.
I found a good one, an old italian guy who spent ages like you described. I just have to pay more with him 🙂
